In a Matter Pursuant to the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act
In December 2016, the Complaints Committee of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick entered into a Voluntary Agreement with Daniel Léger, P.Eng. (M5684)
The agreement was a result of a formal Complaint alleging professional misconduct with respect to a conviction of tax evasion in February 2016. Mr. Léger confirmed there was a conviction and confirmed his intention to cooperate.
To accept responsibility for the matter and to resolve it in a manner consistent with the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act and By-Laws, Mr. Léger tendered his resignation, based on the understanding that should he seek reinstatement in the Association at a future date:
i. he would be required to satisfy a course of study as deemed appropriate by the Registrar with respect ethics at his expense, prior to being granted membership; and
ii. should he satisfy the requirement above, the Association would give notice of the Complaint, the Voluntary Agreement, and his return to practice to the Membership.
This is to confirm that Mr. Léger has met the terms of the agreement and has been re-instated as a member in good standing with APEGNB.
